Payroll Specialist

Description

We are looking for a dedicated Payroll Specialist to join our team in Lexington, Kentucky. In this Contract to permanent position, you will manage payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance across multi-state operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and has a strong aptitude for problem-solving and working with Excel.

Responsibilities:

- Process full-cycle payroll for a multi-state workforce, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

- Upload and manage employee timesheets, verifying data and addressing discrepancies.

- Audit hours and payroll data, utilizing Excel for tasks such as v-lookups and data analysis.

- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless payroll operations and provide support as needed.

- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.

- Assist in transitioning manual payroll tasks to automated systems, contributing to process improvements.

- Utilize UKG to manage payroll for over 500 employees.

- Work closely with management to address payroll inquiries and resolve issues.

- Adapt to a hybrid work schedule following initial in-office training.

- Commit to extended work hours as required, particularly on Thursday evenings.

Requirements

- Minimum of 1 year of experience in payroll processing, preferably in multi-state operations.

- Proficiency in full-cycle payroll management.

- Strong skills in UKG and familiarity with payroll systems.

- Advanced Excel abilities, including v-lookups and data manipulation.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

- Willingness to adapt to changing processes and learn new systems.

- Strong commitment to meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy.
