Digital & IT Functional Analyst

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Functional Digital & IT Senior Analyst for a leading manufacturing client. This role is centered on driving manufacturing systems transformation initiatives, with a strong emphasis on MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) and SCADA integration, implementation, and optimization.

This individual will serve as a key liaison between business and IT, partnering with stakeholders across Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and IT to modernize manufacturing technology ecosystems. The primary focus will be on integrating shop‑floor systems with enterprise platforms (ERP, data platforms, analytics tools) to enable real‑time visibility, operational efficiency, and digital manufacturing capabilities.

The role requires strong ownership of system implementations, integrations, and process improvements within manufacturing environments. Exposure to Quote‑to‑Cash (Q2C) processes is considered beneficial but is not a core requirement for success in this role.

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• 6+ years of experience in IT, Digital, or Manufacturing Systems roles within a manufacturing environment
• Hands‑on experience with MES and/or SCADA systems, including implementation, integration, or support
• Experience integrating manufacturing systems with ERP platforms (SAP preferred) or other enterprise applications
• Proven experience leading or supporting cross‑functional IT or digital transformation projects
• Strong understanding of shop‑floor processes, production workflows, and manufacturing operations
• Ability to bridge business and technical teams, translating operational needs into system solutions
• Experience with MES‑to‑ERP integrations (e.g., production orders, inventory, quality data flows)
• Exposure to SCADA/data historian systems (e.g., Ignition, Wonderware, Factory Talk, PI System)
• Familiarity with industrial data integration, IIoT, or smart manufacturing initiatives
• Experience supporting or implementing ERP or SaaS‑based solutions
• Exposure to Quote‑to‑Cash (Q2C) processes in a manufacturing setting
• PMP certification or formal project management experience
