SAP Test Lead

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced QA Test Lead to lead end-to-end testing activities for a major SAP S/4

HANA implementation, including Integrated Test Cycle 2 (ITC2), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect management, reporting, and performance testing utilizing Open Text ALM and Open Text Load Runner.

This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, executing, monitoring, and reporting testing activities while ensuring complete business process coverage, effective defect resolution, and overall go‑live readiness. The individual will work closely with business stakeholders, PMO leadership, system integrator teams, and IT work streams to drive successful testing outcomes.

Location: Remote (Some onsite requirements in Lexington, KY - dates below)

Duration: 6 months+

Rate: 80-90/hr.

ITC2: July 20, 2026 – August 14, 2026

UAT: September 14, 2026 – October 9, 2026

• Must be onsite five days per week during active ITC2 and UAT testing cycles.
• Provide hands‑on leadership from the testing command center.
• Work directly with business users, project leadership, and system integrator teams to facilitate testing execution and issue resolution.

• Lead all testing activities across ITC2 and UAT.
• Coordinate daily testing execution, defect triage, stakeholder communications, and status reporting.
• Ensure complete end-to-end business process coverage across functional and technical work streams.
• Manage testing schedules, risks, dependencies, and issue escalation.
• Drive accountability for timely test execution and issue resolution.

• Develop, organize, and maintain test cases and execution plans.
• Coordinate integrated end-to-end testing scenarios across business functions.
• Monitor test progress, coverage, and execution metrics.
• Define and manage testing entry and exit criteria and readiness assessments.
• Support testing sign‑off and deployment readiness recommendations.

• Own the end-to-end defect management process within Open Text ALM.
• Facilitate defect triage and prioritization activities.
• Monitor defect trends, aging, severity, and resolution progress.
• Partner with functional and technical teams to drive timely issue resolution.
• Provide visibility and escalation for critical defects and testing blockers.

• Build and maintain testing dashboards, metrics, and executive reporting.

• Lead planning, execution, and reporting of performance testing activities.
• Define performance objectives, workload models, and success criteria.
• Coordinate load, stress, scalability, endurance, and volume testing.
• Analyze results and identify performance bottlenecks.
• Partner with technical teams to resolve performance issues and validate improvements.
• Present performance testing findings and recommendations to project leadership.

• Maintain audit‑ready testing documentation and evidence.
• Ensure testing artifacts, sign-offs, and traceability requirements are complete.
• Support project governance, compliance, and deployment readiness reviews.

• 10+ years of QA, Test Management, or Test Leadership experience in large-scale enterprise environments.
• Proven leadership of testing activities during at least one SAP S/4

• Experience leading integration testing, UAT, defect management, and business readiness activities.
• Experience coordinating business, functional, technical, integration, security, reporting, and data migration work streams.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end business process testing.
