Senior Business Process Analyst
Client is seeking a Senior Business Process Analyst who can work closely with business and IT teams to gather requirements, analyze and improve business processes, and ensure technology solutions meet operational needs. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in business analysis, process improvement, workflow documentation, testing/UAT support, and stakeholder management. Experience with State or Federal government environments, administration-focused operations, and certifications such as CBAP, PMI, Lean Six Sigma, or ITIL would be a significant advantage.

The Business & Process Analyst supports the organization by evaluating business needs, documenting requirements, assisting in the selection of technology solutions, and optimizing processes across IT-supported operations. This role acts as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring technology satisfies users' needs while creating workflow efficiencies and aligning with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business units to gather, analyze, and document functional and technical requirements.
- Map, assess, and improve existing business processes, identifying opportunities for efficiency, automation, or system enhancement.
- Translate business needs into clear specifications for IT developers, system administrators, and vendors.
- Support IT project teams through requirements validation, testing, and change management activities.
- Conduct workflow analysis, data validation, and root cause investigations for system or process issues.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, system diagrams, and user guides.
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure solutions align with organizational policies, technology standards, and strategic objectives.
- Assist in evaluating technology options and recommending improvements to systems, processes, and operational practices.
Preferred
Skills:
- Relevant professional certification(s) from the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA), Project Management Institute (PMI), Lean Six Sigma, ITIL, COBIT, etc.
- Deep knowledge of requirements gathering methods, process improvement techniques, and testing practices.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and process modeling skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences.
A reasonable, good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum for this position is $45 to $55.
