Overview
We are seeking a Field Support Technician to provide onsite technical support within a secure government-operated environment. This individual will serve as the primary IT support resource for end users and technology assets while collaborating with a larger field services team supporting critical public sector operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong desktop support experience who is looking to expand their exposure to infrastructure technologies in a stable, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide desktop and field support for 200+ end-user devices.
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain desktop and laptop hardware, operating systems, printers, and peripherals in a Windows-based environment.
- Resolve hardware, software, connectivity, and general end-user technology issues.
- Deliver excellent customer service and technical support to users at all levels.
- Perform workstation deployments, upgrades, refreshes, and equipment replacements.
- Document incidents, service requests, troubleshooting activities, and solutions.
- Assist with support and troubleshooting of security camera systems, servers, and network switches as needed.
- Coordinate with other field support technicians to ensure consistent service coverage.
- Manage multiple priorities while meeting service expectations and deadlines.
- 1-2+ years of desktop support, help desk, field services, or related IT support experience.
- Hands-on experience installing, troubleshooting, and repairing devices in a Windows environment.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Excellent time management, organization, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and seek assistance when needed.
- Experience supporting enterprise desktop environments.
- Basic understanding of servers, networking, or infrastructure support.
- Experience working in government, healthcare, public safety, or other highly regulated environments.
- Must be at least 20 years of age.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment and work in physically demanding positions when necessary.
- Must complete required training designed to prepare personnel for working within a secure public safety environment.
This is a Contract position based out of Lexington, KY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
