The Davis H. Elliot Company, Inc. is seeking an Information Systems Security Administrator II to support and strengthen the organization's cybersecurity posture through proactive security monitoring, vulnerability management, access administration, and incident response activities. This role works closely with Information Security team members and business stakeholders to help safeguard company systems, networks, and data assets. This is an exciting opportunity for an IT security professional who enjoys identifying and mitigating risks, improving security processes, and working with a variety of technologies across the cybersecurity landscape.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of security operations, network and application security principles, identity management, and threat detection while contributing to the continued maturity of DHE's security program

Overview:

The Information Systems Security Administrator II serves as an intermediate-level contributor within the Cyber & GRC team and is responsible for supporting the implementation, administration, and monitoring of enterprise security controls and solutions. This position performs substantive assignments of moderate scope and complexity while working independently under general supervision.

The successful candidate will collaborate with Information Security staff to conduct security reviews, perform access audits, investigate potential threats, recommend security improvements, and assist with the administration of security tools and processes. This role also supports incident response efforts, vulnerability assessments, identity provisioning activities, and security automation initiatives across the organization.

A Day in the Life:
  • Conduct or coordinate vulnerability scans and penetration testing activities and document remediation recommendations.
  • Administer, monitor, and maintain network and host-based intrusion detection and prevention systems.
  • Assist with implementing security safeguards, security updates, and anti-malware protection strategies.
  • Analyze network traffic, activity logs, and security alerts to identify anomalies and potential threats.
  • Administer identity provisioning and deprovisioning processes, including SCIM and Entra
    -related access changes.
  • Support access reviews and audits to ensure compliance with security policies and standards.
  • Develop scripts and procedures that automate security monitoring, assessment, and reporting activities.
  • Investigate and assist with the mitigation of security incidents and identified risks.
  • Recommend security improvements and contribute to systems and application security configuration reviews.
  • Collaborate with internal technology teams and business stakeholders to promote security best practices.
  • Escalate complex or enterprise-impacting security risks to senior Information Security team members as appropriate.
  • Assist and provide guidance to Information Systems Security Administrator I team members when needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • 2-5 years of applicable IT security-related work experience.
  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA, ISC2, ISACA, or EC-Council certifications preferred (Security+, CC, CCSA, or similar).
  • Understanding of intrusion detection systems, SIEM platforms, and security monitoring technologies.
  • Experience supporting incident response activities and security investigations preferred.
  • Knowledge of firewalls, networking concepts, and application security principles.
  • Experience with identity provisioning and deprovisioning workflows, including Entra  SCIM, preferred.
  • Ability to interpret vulnerability assessment results and communicate security risks effectively.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts and security recommendations to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
