Overview

Join a team that values your expertise and supports your growth. As a P&C Underwriter, you’ll evaluate property and casualty insurance applications to help protect businesses and individuals. You’ll work closely with our field teams to make informed decisions and provide tailored insurance solutions. This role doesn’t include production goals, so you can focus on delivering quality service and impactful decisions.

  • Assess risks by reviewing property details like value, location, usage, and safety features.
  • Decide whether to accept, modify, or decline insurance applications based on your evaluations.
  • Gather insights from field teams to make well-rounded decisions.
  • Support senior underwriters in managing accounts, ensuring our clients receive the best possible service.
  • A strong understanding of property and casualty insurance.
  • The ability to evaluate risks and make informed decisions.
  • Great communication skills to collaborate with field teams and explain your decisions clearly.
  • A detail-oriented mindset to ensure accuracy in every evaluation.
  • A commitment to delivering excellent service to clients.
About You

Required:

  • Bachelor s degree and 2 years related experience required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications and
  • Microsoft Office.

Preferred:

  • 1-2 years experience in Property and Casualty insurance
Compensation and benefits

We offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position. The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business/practice area, supply/demand, and scheduled hours.
