Real Estate Attorney

Real Estate Attorney / Real Estate Legal Counsel / Property Litigation Attorney
Job Duration: 6 months contract

• Assist in the management of the Company's fee owned lands and the protection of the Company's land rights.
• Assist in the management and resolution of complex surveillance matters involving the Company's fee owned lands.
• Negotiate/Draft complex commercial leases/licenses.

• BS Degree required.
• Juris Doctorate from ABA accredited law school strongly preferred.
• Minimum five (5) years' experience practicing law external to APC strongly preferred.
• Prior experience involving real estate litigation strongly preferred.
• Prior experience with drafting/negotiating of lease/license agreements preferred.
• Member of Alabama State Bar (active license) preferred.
• Experience with real estate laws, rules and regulations.
• Demonstrated knowledge of real estate practices and principles.
• Ability to think strategically, be innovative, and implement tactically, while making timely decisions.
• Strong interpersonal & negotiation skills to effectively deal with internal and external business partners/stakeholders while balancing the legal, ethical and political considerations to represent the Company's best interest.
