Responsibilities

  • Manage outbound transportation operations for customer shipments, including domestic and international distribution from J&J distribution centers.
  • Coordinate shipment planning and execution to ensure timely and accurate delivery to end customers, including hospitals, wholesalers, and specialty care providers.
  • Track and trace outbound shipments, providing proactive communication and resolving delivery exceptions to maintain service levels.
  • Support development, implementation, and analytics as well as provide analysis and recommendations to support strategic supply chain decisions.
  • Partner with distribution centers, customer service, and logistics teams to align shipping priorities with customer requirements and order fulfillment timelines.
  • Monitor carrier performance and compliance with service level agreements (SLAs), escalating issues and driving corrective actions as needed.
  • Lead cost improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to optimize routing, mode selection, consolidation, and carrier utilization.
  • Drive service improvement initiatives to enhance delivery reliability, visibility, and customer satisfaction.
  • Analyze and report transportation metrics related to service, cost, and efficiency to support operational and strategic decision‑making.
  • Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, company policies, and customer‑specific requirements for outbound shipments.
Requirements
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s or equivalent university degree, preferably in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • 1‑2 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain functions.
  • General knowledge of the U.S. transportation industry and distribution networks.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in high‑pressure environments and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience in outbound distribution and customer delivery networks (Preferred).
  • Experience in project management (Preferred).
  • Familiarity with transportation compliance and customer‑specific delivery requirements (Preferred).
  • Technological aptitude and ability to learn new systems quickly (Preferred).
