• 6-hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Facilitate a safe, Clean, and efficient operation of CKAS buildings, quarters, and grounds.

• Receive work order assignments, gather tools/equipment necessary, and complete work in a timely manner
• Regular checks on a/c and heat units, all other major appliances, lighting and plumbing fixtures, walls, cabinets, baseboards, and flooring. Makes minor repairs needed and communicates with Property manager if anything extensive needs repair
• Performs exterior building maintenance as needed including pressure washing, trash/debris pick up, etc.
• Take donations from Hanger lodge and administration building to Clothing/food bank daily
• Assist in IT associate with cables/wires, moving and setting-up of equipment when needed
• Respond to emergency situations during and after work hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns, including being on-call to drive disaster vehicle/canteen
• Set up and take down event furnishing/equipment
• Help maintain a clean and organized storage building, maintenance room, basement, and auxiliary buildings
• Clean corps building/grounds as needed including but not limited to trimming bushes, weeding, mulching, debris removal, sidewalk maintenance, planting and maintaining foliage
• Snow and ice removal of Lexington corps, sidewalk to be clear by 7:30 am on weekdays, 9am on Sundays
• Assist Property manager with monthly drills
• Drive the Salvation Army vehicle when needed for supplies, donations, etc.
• Adheres to and complies with company and OSHA safety policies and rules, wearing PPE as directed.
• Assist with daily cleanings of administration and fellowship areas
• Adheres to Salvation army policies and procedures, maintains confidentiality
• Provide any services needed in the property department for the efficient functioning of The Salvation Army

• High school Diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver’s license
• Maintenance/custodian work preferred
• Ability to assess repairs and act on them when needed
• Ability to work in moderately difficult environments (heights, small spaces, differing temps, dust, etc.)
• Verbal and written communication skills
