- Works alongside hourly associates, provides direction, coaching and guidance to ensure daily productivity and quality standards are achieved.
- Performs functions in the assigned area of the warehouse as needed to meet business needs, including producing embellished garments, auditing orders, and manifesting orders.
- Manages the workflow of orders to maintain productivity standards while staying within service level requirements.
- Ensures all equipment and technical resources attain maximum functional uptime.
- Supports the staffing process; ensures new associates are properly oriented, trained and coached to perform their roles, and that they have the necessary tools and resources.
- Reviews processes and procedures in the assigned area for efficiency and accuracy and works with the management team to continually improve.
- Provides associates with daily productivity assessments and keeps the Area Manager apprised of performance.
- Makes recommendations to the Area Manager about manpower planning to cover operating needs in the assigned area.
- Provides efficient and productive communication by leading shift start-up meetings with assigned associates.
- Examines associates' work for compliance with policy and procedure.
- Delivers performance coaching and verbal warnings as needed and contributes detail about performance concerns for assigned hourly team members.
- Troubleshoots issues as they arise and implements efficient and effective resolution.
- Responsible for reporting any safety or security issues in the assigned area to the Shift Area Manager.
- Has key carrying responsibility as needed to ensure facility is secured during working hours and for unlocking/locking the building per business needs.
- Ensures housekeeping is performed daily and the department is clean and in good order.
- Uses data tools for hourly performance reporting and updates with justification for variances.
- Experience:
Previous warehouse/distribution center experience. - Experience in warehouse operations; prior experience in warehouse leadership is a plus.
- Ability to work in and coach all assigned associates as required by the area.
- Knowledge and experience with warehouse tools and/or production equipment, including WMS, RF gun technology, material handling equipment, conveyors, embroidery equipment, and commercial sewing equipment.
- Clear communication and active listening skills; ability to explain how to utilize equipment and systems to associates.
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office and ability to learn internal order management system (GQ).
- Ability to coach and document performance concerns or successes.
- Effective time management, multi-tasking, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Able and willing to work overtime and flex shift schedule as required to meet business needs.
- Complies with internal company policies and procedures.
- High School diploma or GED, or equivalent

Ability to work in a non-climate controlled warehouse with cold temperatures in winter and hot temperatures in summer.
