Manufacturing/Facilities Engineer
Location:
Paulding, OH
Manufacturing/Facilities Engineer will plan, direct and coordinate manufacturing processes within ALL Plant (Plastics extrusion, Blow Molding, Fabrication and Quality), providing engineering support in the areas of manufacturing processes, process documentation, applications, systems, procedures, quality control, equipment and tooling.
Essential Functions- Produce accurate and complete engineering drawings (facility, product, equipment, system and tooling) using computer assisted engineering and design software. Strong knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Assist Plant Manager to direct and manage daily plant operations for quality. Must have working knowledge of manufacturing processes, ability to identify problems and work together on solutions.
- Initiate and coordinate outsourced tooling/mold design and in‑house fabrication activities to ensure accuracy, quality workmanship and on‑time delivery.
- Compile and analyze operational, test, and research data to establish performance standards for modified or newly designed equipment, applications and tooling.
- Analyze work‑force utilization, work‑center layout, material flow, production costs, process flow and production requirements to determine the most efficient utilization of personnel and equipment.
- Support Management Team in developing product Design Failure Modes and Effects Analysis to help identify and eliminate potential product failures.
- Assist in setup, program, documentation and operation of all manufacturing equipment.
- Maintain all quality, calibration and documentation records of testing equipment, raw materials and finished goods for verification of meeting product quality specifications.
- Utilize problem‑solving skills to analyze manufacturing difficulties to determine root cause and define corrective actions in support of on‑going operational activities.
- Provide leadership, direction, training, and technical support to all Plant Operations.
- Apply problem‑solving techniques to resolve both customer and internal quality issues.
- Support the 24/7 manufacturing operation and Management Team.
- Bachelor Degree or equivalent combination of relevant technical education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations.
- Proficient in MS Office, Excel, AutoCAD, Inventor, Solid Modeling and GD & T. ERP and Solid Works would be a plus.
- Prior experience/direct involvement with developing, maintaining and managing TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) Program using CMMS or EAM software for Work Orders, PM, Downtime & Reliability Tracking, Parts Inventory and Purchasing.
- Manufacturing experience preferred. Within plastics industry a plus.
- Demonstrate strong organizational, project management, verbal and written communications skills.
