We currently have an opening for a Maintenance parts room person.

Purpose

Maintain inventory accuracy through monitoring and resolving CMMS inventory transactional activities, utilize cycle counting to account for miscellaneous inventory transactions, and investigate inventory discrepancies to improve accuracy.

Responsibilities/Principal Duties
  • Responsible for solving issues with maintenance spare parts.
  • Works closely with Plant Purchasing, Receiving, and Help Desk to resolve inventory transaction variances.
  • Able to work within a CMMS system.
  • In conjunction with Corporate A/P, Plant Purchasing, Receiving, and Suppliers, works to resolve receiving vs. A/P-PO matching variances.
  • Assists with physical inventories.
  • Completes monthly account reconciliations.
  • Coordinate and investigate all cycle counts.
  • Investigate and correct negative transfers.
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to rebuild small hand tools.
  • Recommends solutions to improve inventory accuracy with findings from investigations. Participates and/or leads projects related to these solutions.
  • Facilitate receiving parts and inspecting them to the original order to ensure correct.
Education

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience

2-4 years minimum experience in a manufacturing environment is required. Experience in materials and/or receiving is a plus. Have a good understanding of the material process flow. An individual should be able to manage small to medium-sized projects and have strong communication skills (written and verbal). Proficiency in mathematical calculation is a requirement. Proficiency in Oracle and CMMS is a plus.

Good mechanical aptitude with an understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic spare parts programs.
