You will be the 2nd Shift Paint Support Technician for our SOFGLSS Contract in Lexington, KY. Here you will join a mission critical team supporting Special Operations Forces!
What You Will Be DoingWe’re seeking a detail-oriented Paint Support Technician to work the 2nd shift (3:30pm–2 am) on the SOFGLSS defense contract at our Lexington, KY facility. Enjoy working in a government contract role, with a competitive shift differential, and on the job training for career development.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Interpret engineering drawings, sketches, schematics, and change orders.
- Apply chemical conversion coatings, masking tapes, paper, and other protective materials to complex parts, test equipment, and production tools.
- Inspect and prepare surfaces (clean, sand, sand blast) to meet painting and treatment specs.
- Follow strict process standards and SOPs to ensure repeatable, high quality results.
- Maintain housekeeping and hazardous waste compliance on a daily basis.
- Support senior technicians and supervisors on additional mission critical tasks as directed.
This position supports our Special Operations Forces – Global Logistics Support Services contract, the U.S. Special Operations Command's (USSOCOM) largest service contract vehicle providing a wide range of tailored logistics, maintenance, and sustainment services.

Basic Qualifications- Proven ability to read and work from technical drawings and schematics.
- 1–2 years of hands on experience in a paint shop or coating environment (masking, sanding, blasting, painting).
- Strong safety awareness and experience with hazardous waste handling and PPE.
- Availability for a consistent 2nd shift schedule (3:30pm–2am).
- OSHA
10/30 certification, prior work with chemical conversion coatings.
This position requires a government security clearance. Must be a U.S. Citizen. A company-sponsored interim Secret clearance is required to start. Clearance Level: Secret.
