The Production Group Leader will be responsible for coordinating the production floor day-to-day activities and personnel and lead the production team in the preparation, application and processing of elastomer sealing products. This individual must be able to read and follow written manufacturing instructions and coordinate with the Quality Inspector with the necessary information to create sealing products (i.e., o-rings, gaskets, etc.).

This individual will also be the lead for the fabrication technicians.

Responsibilities will also include:
  • Operation of all production processing equipment (cutters, presses, micrometers, calipers, etc.)
  • Inspection of materials, products or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions
  • Assure inspection of the product upon completion of preparation and fabrication processes (at each manufacturing stage)
  • Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs
  • Serve as liaison for the production team (fabrication technicians and machine operators) to the quality supervisor
  • Be responsible for the production schedule and production planning to fulfill sales orders, ensuring the daily required output is met
  • Ensure quality set-up of equipment
  • Help ensure the production teams are working on-time to complete the daily production schedule to deliver the manufactured products in a timely manner
  • Support other areas within the manufacturing department that require additional labor
  • Additional duties as assigned by executive management
Education/Experience
  • Associates degree or equivalent
  • 3 or more years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Good reading, communication and math skills
  • Good computer skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Ability to read/understand blueprints and drawings
Other Qualifications
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Regular work attendance is essential for satisfactory performance in this position.
