Location:
Lexington, KY.
Shift: Full‑time 1st Shift 7:00 am – 3:30 pm.
Starting rate: $19.67 with top‑out pay of $25.68.
New hires start with 3 weeks’ paid vacation.

To learn and perform basic electronic and/or mechanical assembly tasks such as mini tubes, extended assemblies, etc. following specific work instructions while under direct supervision. Tasks are completed by utilizing binding materials, potting powder and small hand tools while working under a microscope to assemble the three basic training part types of well‑defined nature.
Duties and Responsibilities- Complete required training and work closely with experienced operators to develop job proficiency.
- Read, interpret, and follow method sheets, blueprints, and standard work instructions.
- Perform assembly operations with minimal supervision while meeting quality and productivity standards.
- Conduct visual and dimensional inspections to ensure products meet specifications and proper component fit.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with plant standards.
- Follow all safety policies, wear required PPE, participate in training, and perform other duties as assigned.
- Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher completed and verified prior to start.
- Ability to work with small parts under a microscope for extended periods.
- Minimum one (1) year of manufacturing, production, or assembly experience.
- Experience using microscopes in a production or inspection environment.
- Experience with precision measuring tools such as calipers or micrometers.
- Experience assembling small or high‑precision components.
- Familiarity with reading blueprints or working in controlled/cleanroom environments.
- Ability to read and follow written instructions, including method sheets and blueprints.
- Basic math skills, including four‑function math and working with decimals.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify acceptable vs. non‑conforming product.
Applicants who meet the basic qualifications above will be required to take and pass 3M elected testing as part of the selection process.
