Floater - 1st Shift
The primary responsibility of the Production Floater is to ensure our product is processed in a safe manner and that our product meets all the quality expectations set forth by work instructions and standard operating procedures. The Production Floater is also responsible for meeting the production expectations in accordance with our demand. This position will support 1st shift operations (7a-3p).
Essential Duties:
- Assemble components to our glass products
- Ensure produced parts meet customer specifications
- Pack finished product according to customer requirements
- Responsible for processing various products in accordance with all work instructions, quality and safety expectations
- Identify, record, and communicate any problems relating to the product or the production process
- Initiate, recommend or provide solutions to problems through designated channels
- Adhere to work standardization and associated training requirements
- Follow housekeeping standards and expectations
- Assist in training other associates for cross training purposes
- Track and collect data on production and quality standards
- Possess the ability to perform all workstations
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Prior warehouse, value add/manual assembly, manufacturing, and or material handling equipment experience and basic hand tools knowledge
- Frequently required to stand and walk, and occasionally required to sit, bend, and squat
- Without assistance must be able to frequently lift, carry, push and/or pull objects weighting anywhere from 1lb to 45lbs
- Working knowledge of departmental safety, quality, and operational procedures
- Excellent attendance record
- Proficient in English language (verbal and written)
- Able to work both independently and as a team member
