Industrial Maintenance Technician
The Industrial Maintenance Technician maintains, repairs, and troubleshoots automated manufacturing machinery and automotive roof system assembly lines to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient production operations.
Responsibilities- Maintain and repair automated manufacturing machinery and automotive roof system assembly lines to minimize downtime and ensure consistent production quality.
- Fix and prevent problems on automated assembly and press machines through timely corrective and preventive maintenance activities.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Perform routine scheduled equipment checks and inspections to detect wear, potential failures, and safety concerns before they impact production.
- Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to diagnose issues and perform accurate repairs or adjustments.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives on the production floor by suggesting and implementing maintenance-related process enhancements.
- Promote and uphold safety goals by following established procedures, identifying hazards, and contributing to a safe working environment.
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections to ensure accurate records and support ongoing equipment reliability.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical skills for maintaining and repairing automated machinery and press equipment.
- Solid electrical troubleshooting skills, including working from schematics to diagnose issues.
- Ability to troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic systems on production equipment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics and blueprints.
- Capability to perform routine scheduled equipment checks and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on root-cause analysis and long-term solutions.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to established safety procedures and standards.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working with automated assembly lines, particularly in an automotive or high-volume manufacturing setting.
- Familiarity with continuous improvement practices in a production environment.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with production and engineering teams to resolve equipment issues.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in maintenance documentation and reporting.

This role operates on a production floor with automated manufacturing machinery, press machines, and automotive roof system assembly lines. The work involves hands-on interaction with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, as well as frequent use of schematics and blueprints to guide maintenance tasks. The environment is fast-paced and safety-focused, with routine equipment checks and troubleshooting performed around active production operations.
Appropriate workwear and personal protective equipment are used to support a safe and efficient maintenance setting.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lexington, KY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.
