Description
PurposeThe Volunteer & Food Drive Coordinator supports the mission of God’s Pantry Food Bank by engaging volunteers and community partners on behalf of those experiencing hunger. This role works closely with the Community Engagement Team and the Volunteer & Food Drive Manager to assist in day‑to‑day coordination of the volunteer activities, community food drives, and the operational readiness of the Volunteer Center, while ensuring a positive, safe and productive environment.

Skills and Abilities
- Exceptional tenants of stewardship, integrity, and trust.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to work with a broad cross section of individuals.
- Ability to lead individuals and groups of varying size, ages, demographics and restrictions.
- Ability to work flexible schedule that includes evening and weekends.
- Computer aptitude and basic knowledge required; working knowledge of Microsoft products is a plus.
- Dedication to the Food Bank mission with concern for the issues of hunger and poverty and their solutions.
- Creative problem solving and critical thinking.
- High School Education or GED.
- Frequent standing, walking, reaching, handling materials, balancing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
- Regular lifting up to 10 lbs.; frequent lifting of 25–50 lbs.; occasional lifting up to 75 lbs.; rare lifting over 100 lbs.
- Ability to drive a vehicle and operate (or train to operate) manual/electric pallet jacks.
- Full visual capability, including close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Work performed across warehouse, office, and outdoor environments with varying seasonal temperatures.
- Exposure to moderate to loud noise levels and active warehouse conditions with moving mechanical equipment.
- Occasional exposure to cold storage areas, uneven surfaces, and occasional fumes or airborne particles.
- Office work occurs in a shared, active environment with volunteers, staff, and visitors present.
- Access to vehicle and a good driving record.
- Familiarity with Serv Safe guidelines and CERVIS volunteer software is a plus.
- Basic First Aid knowledge is a plus.
