Homes for All Ameri Corps program provides the perfect opportunity to gain resume-boosting skills while helping families and households secure and maintain safe, healthy, affordable housing. An Ameri Corps position can also work as a practicum placement.
Highlands Housing Corporation is seeking an Ameri Corps Volunteer in a construction position who can provide new home construction, repair construction, and weatherization projects.
Ameri Corps Volunteers commit to a one-year term of service beginning in September and serve 1700 hours by August 31st, 2027. Volunteers receive a living allowance of $20,400, money for college or student loans in the amount of $7,445, health insurance, childcare assistance (if income eligible), loan forbearance, student loan interest payments, training, and professional and personal development.

Ameri Corps placements can double as practicum/internship
- Willingness to provide information to complete and undergo a National Service Criminal History Check
- Be at least 17 years of age at the start of service
- High school diploma or GED
- Citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States
- Willingness to travel periodically
