First Baptist Church, Sturgis, Kentucky is prayerfully seeking a shepherd-leader to serve as our next pastor. Our congregation desires a pastor who is deeply grounded in Scripture, affirms the Baptist Faith & Message 2000, genuinely loves people, and is committed to leading the church faithfully into the future. We are looking for a man who will not only faithfully preach and teach God’s Word, but will actively shepherd, encourage, equip, and walk alongside the people entrusted to his care.

We believe the pastor’s role extends beyond the pulpit. We desire a leader who will know our people, invest in their lives, and help us faithfully pursue God’s purposes for our church and community.

We are seeking a pastor who:

• Is firmly committed to the authority and sufficiency of Scripture.
• Demonstrates spiritual maturity, integrity, humility, and a growing relationship with Christ.
• Genuinely loves people and is actively present in the life of the church.
• Communicates a clear, biblical vision for the future.
• Has a passion for evangelism and reaching our community with the Gospel.
• Equips and encourages the congregation to serve Christ and one another.
• Leads with both biblical conviction and relational warmth.

• Must meet Biblical Qualifications of pastor (1 Timothy 3 and Titus
  1)
• Affirms Baptist Faith & Message 2000 (as amended 2023)
• Minimum 5 years pastoral experience
• Experience in church administration and financial oversight
• Supervisory church leadership preferred
• Seminary Graduate preferred
