Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PCU/Stepdown night shift position requiring a minimum of 2 years of Level I Trauma experience and a KY or compact RN license.
Responsibilities- Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Stepdown setting within a hospital environment
- Med/Surg patient population in a stepdown capacity
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
- Every other weekend required
- Floating required to other universal/progressive care areas within the health system
- Block scheduling is not available for this position
- Candidates with a permanent residence within 100 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
- All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of submission — RTO requests made after submission will not be approved
- Requests for full weeks off between May and August will not be approved
- Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 6 months before being eligible to return as a traveler
- Active KY or compact RN license currently in hand — no license hits of any kind will be accepted
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 2 years of experience at a Level I Trauma facility
- Experience required in progressive care (PC), acute care (AC), telemetry, and Med/Surg
- 2 supervisor references from within the last 3 years of employment required for consideration
