Overview

Pediatric Specialty Clinic is seeking a Nurse Team Lead to manage nursing teams in the Pediatric Nephrology and Rheumatology divisions. The position will manage daily clinic flow, provide direct patient care, and oversee nursing and clinical staff. The role works closely with the division chief, providers, Practice Manager, and Nurse Clinical Manager Senior to operationalize clinic issues, directions, scheduling templates, protocols, and staffing models.

Responsibilities
  • Manage nursing teams within Pediatric Nephrology and Rheumatology divisions.
  • Oversee daily clinic flow and operational issues.
  • Provide direct patient care and supervise nursing and clinical staff.
  • Collaborate with division chiefs and providers to create, maintain, and implement clinical protocols and procedures.
  • Coordinate with Practice Manager and Senior Nurse Clinical Manager to operationalize clinic issues, staffing models, and scheduling.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Kentucky.
  • Must complete UKHC Nursing Professional Advancement (NPA) within 6 months of hire and resubmit annually thereafter.
  • No prior experience required.
Physical Requirements

Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 50-100 pounds daily; stand, walk, and sit for extended periods. Exposure to communicable diseases and possible injury from patients or sharp instruments.

Skills & Abilities
  • Basic computer knowledge, including MS Windows, Word, Outlook, and clinical applications.
  • Strong supervisory experience and detail oriented.
