American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Lexington, Kentucky.

• Hospital-based telemetry unit with 20 beds, including 3 PCU beds
• Specializes in post-op CABG, post-op cardiac surgery, valve replacement/repair, vascular surgeries, CHF, and moderate-risk chest pain patients
• Patient population frequently transferred from ICU, ED, and PACU, presenting with multiple comorbidities and complex care needs
• Night shift: 7p–7a, 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hrs/week)
• Weekend and holiday coverage required
• 13-week contract

• Active, unrestricted RN license in Kentucky or a compact state
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, Annual Dysrhythmia Competency Validation
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• Previous nursing experience preferred but not required
• DOB (MM/DD) and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

• Comprehensive patient assessments, care planning, patient and family education
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities
• Collaborate with inter‑professional team including Case Management to coordinate individualized patient care
• Participate in unit‑based quality improvement initiatives such as patient satisfaction, fall prevention, pressure‑ulcer prevention, and CAUTI monitoring
• Practice evidence‑based care aligned with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and professional guidelines
• First‑time travelers welcomed to apply
