ShiftMust be able to work three twelve‑hour shifts each week with some weekends and holidays required; shift to be determined by the hiring manager as either 7a‑7:30p and/or 7p‑7:30a.
Job SummaryThe LPN model follows the Licensed Practical Nursing Scope of Practice as deemed by the Kentucky Board of Nursing. Under the direction of an RN, the primary responsibilities for this position consist of providing comprehensive, continuous and patient‑centered care which includes ongoing assessments, documenting, planning, implementing, teaching, and evaluating a comprehensive nursing plan of care; delivering direct patient care; ensuring patient satisfaction;
delegating duties for Nursing Care Technicians (Nursing Assistant); and adhering to University policies and procedures as well as federal, state, and local regulations. The environment supports collaborative efforts among the nursing staff and the team of physicians to increase communication and enhance expected patient outcomes and the patient/family experience.
- Provide comprehensive, continuous, and patient‑centered care.
- Conduct ongoing assessments, document findings, and plan and implement nursing care.
- Teach patients and families about health conditions and care plans.
- Evaluate patient progress and adjust care plans accordingly.
- Deliver direct patient care and ensure patient satisfaction.
- Delegate duties to Nursing Care Technicians and Nursing Assistants as appropriate.
- Adhere to University policies, procedures, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Valid LPN license in the State of Kentucky (current or eligible to obtain by hire date).
- No supervisory responsibilities.
