The Nurse Clinical Ambulatory provides disease‑specific patient care to a group of patients who have serious acute and/or chronic health events or who are seeking healthcare to maintain their state of wellness. Responsibilities include skilled assessments, care planning and implementation, patient education, and clinical evaluation or interventions. The role requires working with medical professionals under time and efficiency constraints in a busy ambulatory care setting focused on quality, safety, and service.
A working knowledge of enterprise, nursing, departmental policies, protocols, and procedures is needed for success.
- Perform skilled assessments and develop individual care plans.
- Implement care plans and provide ongoing evaluation.
- Educate patients regarding their health conditions and management strategies.
- Conduct clinical evaluations or interventions as required.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in a fast‑paced environment.
- Basic computer knowledge, including MS Windows, Word, and Outlook.
