As a member of the Neonatal / Pediatric Transport Team, maintain a body weight less than 215 lbs. Lifting, standing, riding in ambulances and helicopters
Shift: 6pm-6:30am, including some weekends and holidays.

Job SummaryNeonatal/pediatric transport is a complex, highly organized, dynamic process that requires highly skilled personnel with the ability to act independently away from the protected environment of KCH. Patient outcomes are optimized by stabilization and expedient disposition of patients to definitive care. This position also provides guidance, education and expertise to nursing staff in any pediatric area so better recognition and response to patient care issues, improved quality of care, and opportunity for development of critical thinking skills can be achieved.
The outreach education provided by this position to referral facilities ensures a collegial relationship and enhances outcomes.

Preferred Education/ExperienceGraduate of an accredited school of nursing—BSN preferred. Must have a minimum of three years experience as a registered nurse in a Neonatal and/or Pediatric Critical Care setting. Previous transport experience is preferred but not required.
