- Provide total, comprehensive, continuous, patient-centered care including assessing, documenting, planning, implementing, teaching, developing, and evaluating a comprehensive nursing plan of care.
- Deliver direct patient care and ensure patient satisfaction.
- Train and delegate duties for Nursing Care Technicians (Nursing Assistant).
- Adhere to University policies and procedures as well as federal, state, and local regulations.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and physicians to improve communication and patient outcomes using the nursing process in a patient-centered plan of care.

Education:
ADN - Preferred Education/
Experience:
BSN + at least 1 year of RN experience - Required License/Certification:
Active Kentucky RN license, Temporary Work Permit (TWP), Provisional License, or active compact state RN license in good standing;
American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers (valid for at least 6 months after employment) - Preferred
Skills:
Knowledge of Maslow’s hierarchy, Gordon’s Functional Health Patterns, and Swanson’s Caring model; strong direct patient care and critical thinking skills; basic computer navigation and internet skills; professional communication with patients, families, co-workers, and physicians; strong organizational, prioritization, and delegation abilities; ability to work both in a team and independently
The essential functions include lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling 50-100 pounds daily and 25-50 pounds frequently; standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods; potential exposure to communicable diseases, radiation hazards, and injury from patients or sharp instruments.
