- Provide total, comprehensive, continuous, and patient-centered care within Adult Medicine Services for patients who are moderately stable with fluctuating acuity and complex needs.
- Assess, document, plan, implement, teach, develop, and evaluate a comprehensive nursing plan of care; deliver direct patient care; ensure patient satisfaction.
- Train and delegate duties to Nursing Care Technicians (Nursing Assistants); adhere to University policies and procedures, as well as federal, state, and local regulations.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and physicians to enhance communication and patient outcomes using the nursing process within a patient-centered plan of care.

Experience:
No experience required. - Licenses/Certifications:
Active Kentucky RN license, Temporary Work Permit (TWP), Provisional License, or active compact state RN license in good standing;
American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers (valid for at least 6 months after employment). - Preferred Education/
Experience:
BSN; at least 1 year RN experience (preferred). - Supervisory Responsibilities:

Two 12-hour shifts every weekend (Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday) from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 24 hours, with Weekend Premium Plan (WEPP). May be required to work some holidays.
Physical Requirements- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 50-100 pounds daily; 25-50 pounds frequently.
- Stand, walk, and sit for long periods of time.
- Exposure to potential risks including communicable diseases, radiation hazards, and injury from patients or sharp instruments.
