Required Related ExperienceNo experience required.
Required License / Registration / Certification- Active Kentucky Registered Nurse (RN) license, Temporary Work Permit (TWP), Provisional License, or active compact state RN license in good standing.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support certification valid for at least 6 months after employment date.
The essential functions include the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 50-100 pounds daily and 25-50 pounds frequently. The candidate must also stand, walk, and sit for long periods. Exposure to communicable diseases, radiation hazards, and injury from patients or sharp instruments may occur.
Shift7P shift. Must work three 12‑hour shifts per week, with some weekends and holidays as required.
Job SummaryThe primary responsibilities include providing total, comprehensive, continuous, and patient‑centered care. This encompasses assessment, documentation, planning, implementation, teaching, development, and evaluation of a comprehensive nursing plan of care; delivering direct patient care; ensuring patient satisfaction; training and delegating duties for Nursing Care Technicians; and adhering to university policies, procedures, and regulations.
The environment supports collaborative efforts among nursing staff and physicians to enhance communication and patient outcomes. The nurse will utilize the nursing process and comprehensive patient‑centered plan of care to ensure patient satisfaction.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities- Knowledge of Maslow’s eight Basic Human Needs, Gordon’s Functional Health Patterns framework, and Swanson’s Caring model.
