Job Overview

The primary responsibilities include providing total, comprehensive, continuous, and patient‑centered care. This involves assessing, documenting, planning, implementing, teaching, developing, and evaluating a comprehensive nursing plan of care; delivering direct patient care; ensuring patient satisfaction; training and delegating duties for Nursing Care Technicians (Nursing Assistant); and adhering to University policies and procedures as well as federal, state, and local regulations. The role supports collaborative efforts among nursing staff and physicians to increase communication and enhance patient outcomes.
Shiftand Schedule
Must be able to work every Saturday and Sunday day shifts from 7 AM – 7:30 PM. Work 24 hours per week and receive pay for 32 hours per week. This is a weekend premium position.
Physical Requirements- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 50–100 pounds daily and 25–50 pounds frequently.
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit for long periods of time.
- Potential exposure to communicable diseases, radiation hazards, and injury from intractable patients or sharp instruments.
- Education: ADN (Associate Degree in Nursing)
- Licensure: Active Kentucky Registered Nurse (RN) license, Temporary Work Permit (TWP), Provisional License, or active compact state RN license in good standing.
- Certifications: American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support valid for at least 6 months after employment date.
No experience required.
Preferred Education / ExperienceBSN + at least 1 year of RN experience preferred.

- Superb direct patient care and critical thinking skills.
- Basic computer navigation skills and working knowledge of the internet.

- Highly motivated, proactive, and confident in patient advocacy.
- Team‑centric, open and honest communication with staff and physicians.
- Proven ability to work independently and in a team.
