Job Summary

The LPN is a member of the multidisciplinary ambulatory team who is responsible for patient care, patient satisfaction, and clinical outcomes. The LPN performs duties such as starting IVs, simple wound dressings, and notifying the RN or LIP with any changes or abnormalities in the patient’s condition.

Responsibilities
  • Start IVs and perform simple wound dressings.
  • Monitor patient conditions and notify RN-LIP of any changes or abnormalities.
  • Provide direct patient care, critical thinking, and maintain professional communication with patients, families, coworkers, and physicians.
Shift and Schedule

Must be able to work two, 12‑hour NIGHT shifts (7PM‑7:30AM) every Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday, 24 hours per week. This is a weekend premium position.

Qualifications
  • Required

    Education:

    LPN.
  • Required License/Registration/Certification: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Kentucky Licensure.
  • Required Related

    Experience:

    0 years.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 50‑100 pounds daily; stand, walk, and sit for long periods; exposure to communicable diseases, radiation hazards, and sharp instruments.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
  • Superb direct patient care and critical thinking skills.
  • Basic computer navigation and working knowledge of the internet.
  • Professional and respectful communication with patients, families, coworkers, and physicians.
  • Strong organization, prioritization, and delegation skills.
  • Highly motivated, proactive, confident in advocating for patients and their families.
  • Enjoy working in a strong team environment with open, honest communication.
  • Exceptional technical skills and ability to work independently.
