Qualifications

Education: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Kentucky Licensure

Experience: 0 years

Physical Requirements: Ability to handle objects up to 25 pounds with occasional sitting, standing, or walking

Shift Pattern: Three 12‑hour shifts per week, including weekends and holidays. Shift times chosen by the hiring manager (7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m. or 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.)

Job Summary

The LPN works under the Licensed Practical Nursing Scope of Practice as defined by the Kentucky Board of Nursing. Under RN direction, the primary responsibilities include delivering comprehensive, patient‑centered care, performing ongoing assessments, documenting, planning, implementing, teaching, and evaluating patient care plans; providing direct patient care; ensuring patient satisfaction; delegating duties to Nursing Care Technicians; and complying with university policies and regulatory requirements.

The environment promotes collaboration among nursing staff and physicians to enhance communication, patient outcomes, and the family experience.
