Job Title: RN/Chandler 6W 6S / 7A WEPP

Responsibilities- Provide total, comprehensive, continuous, and patient‑centered care, including assessing, documenting, planning, implementing, teaching, developing, and evaluating a comprehensive nursing plan of care.
- Deliver direct patient care and ensure patient satisfaction.
- Train and delegate duties for Nursing Care Technicians (Nursing Assistants).
- Adhere to University policies, procedures, and federal, state, and local regulations.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and physicians to enhance communication and patient outcomes.
- Active Kentucky Registered Nurse (RN) license (or equivalent compact state RN license, provisional license, or valid Kentucky temporary work permit).
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support certification valid for at least 6 months after employment.
- Minimum 36 hours of work per week (including 24 hours of paid work). Must work every Saturday and Sunday day shifts 7:00 AM–7:30 PM.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 50‑100 pounds daily; stand, walk, and sit for long periods; work in environments with communicable diseases, radiation hazards, and potential injury from patients.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) with at least 1 year RN experience.
- Knowledge of Maslow's basic human needs and Gordon's Functional Health Patterns framework;
Swanson's Caring model. - Strong direct patient care and critical thinking skills.
- Basic computer and internet navigation skills.
- Effective communication with patients, families, co‑workers, and physicians.
- Excellent organizational, prioritization, and delegation skills.
- Motivated, proactive, confident advocacy for patients and families; teamwork and independent work abilities.
- Ability to lift and carry 50‑100 pounds daily; stand, walk, sit for extended periods; work around communicable diseases, radiation hazards, and patient injury risks.
- Work 24 hours per week with pay for 32 hours total.
- Weekend premium position requiring availability on Saturdays and Sundays during day shifts (7:00 AM–7:30 PM).
