Job Title: Nurse Clinical/UKHC/CH 7 Main/7P

CompensationSalary Range: $28.00-$39.10 per hour
Schedule3 shifts per week, 12-hour day (7 a.m.
- 7 p.m.). Weekend and holiday shifts required.

Education:
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) - Preferred Education:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) + at least 1 year RN experience - Licensure and Certification:
- Active Kentucky RN license (or equivalent compact state RN license, provisional license, or TWP)
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) certification, valid for at least 6 months after employment date
- No prior nursing experience required; no supervisory responsibilities.
- Physical:
- Ability to lift, carry, push or pull 50-100 lb daily and 25-50 lb frequently.
- Stand, walk, sit for prolonged periods.
- Potential exposure to communicable diseases, radiation hazards, and injuries from patients or sharp instruments.
Provide comprehensive, continuous, patient-centered care, which includes:
- Assessing, documenting, planning, implementing, teaching, developing, and evaluating a nursing plan of care.
- Delivering direct patient care and ensuring patient satisfaction.
- Training and delegating duties for Nursing Care Technicians (Nursing Assistants).
- Adhering to university policies, federal, state, and local regulations.
- Collaborating with nursing staff and physicians to improve communication and patient outcomes through the nursing process.
- Knowledge of Maslow’s Basic Human Needs, Gordon’s Functional Health Patterns & Swanson’s Caring model.
- Excellent direct patient care and critical-thinking abilities.
- Basic computer and internet navigation skills.
- Professional, respectful communication with patients, families, co-workers, and physicians.
- Strong organization, prioritization, and delegation skills.
- Pro‑active, confident advocacy for patients and families.
- Team-oriented with open, honest communication; also capable of independent work.
