Travel RN - Med​/Surg Tele

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position at a hospital in Lexington, KY, with required telemetry certifications and night shift availability.

Job Details

• 30-bed Med/Surg Telemetry unit specializing in telemetry monitoring and fast-turnaround surgical patients, including urology, bariatrics, and orthopedic overflow,

• Unit serves as a Bariatric Center of Excellence, with patient population primarily transferred from the ED and PACU,

• Night shift: 7p-7a, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week),

• 13-week contract in Lexington, KY,

Job Requirements

• Active, unrestricted KY or compact RN license required,

• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and Annual Dysrhythmia Competency Validation,

Minimum education:

ADN or ASN (BSN preferred),

• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety needs and implement appropriate safety measures,

• MM/DD of date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration,

Additional Information

• Provides comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care including patient assessments, treatments, care coordination, and discharge planning,

• Delegates tasks and monitors team members in the execution of patient care plans,

• Participates in quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, and CAUTI monitoring,

• Educates patients and families on procedures, treatments, and discharge needs,

• BSN is preferred but not required,],
