Salary$28.00–$39.10 per hour
Schedule and ShiftFull‑time, 3×12‑hour night shifts per week (7 PM – 7:30 AM) plus occasional weekend and holiday duties.
Physical RequirementsMust lift, carry, push, and pull 50–100 lb daily; stand, walk, and sit for extended periods; may be exposed to communicable diseases, radiation hazards, and injury from patients or sharp instruments.
Job Summary and Responsibilities- Provide total, comprehensive, continuous, and patient‑centered care to adults with diverse medical‑surgical needs (diabetes, endocrine disorders, gastrointestinal disorders, wound care, pre‑ and post‑operative cases).
- Assess, document, plan, implement, teach, develop, and evaluate individualized nursing plans of care using the nursing process.
- Deliver direct patient care and ensure patient satisfaction.
- Train and delegate duties for Nursing Care Technicians (Nursing Assistants).
- Adhere to University policies, federal, state, and local regulations.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and physicians to enhance communication and achieve expected patient outcomes.
- Associate in Nursing (ADN) or higher; BSN is preferred.
- Active Kentucky registered nurse (RN) license or equivalent (e.g., TWP, provisional, or compact RN license).
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support certification, valid for at least 6 months after employment.
- None or minimal related experience required.
- Strong direct patient care, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Basic computer navigation and internet proficiency.
- Organizational, prioritization, and delegation skills.
- Professional, respectful communication with patients, families, co‑workers, and physicians.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- BSN and at least one year of RN experience.
