Certified Nursing Assistant - Nights

Compensation: $20 - $22.23 / hour plus $2,000 bonus for full-time employment.

Department (Org): Medical

• Provides basic nursing care to patients under the direction of a licensed nurse, including assistance with ADLs, vital sign measurement, and accurate documentation of patient data.
• Maintains professional behavior and prioritizes workflow to ensure completion of all assigned duties while adhering to policies and procedures and promoting patient safety and confidentiality.
• Collaborates with other members of the health care team, participates in staff meetings and training sessions, and notifies the licensed nurse of any patient concerns or issues.
• Demonstrates basic knowledge of nursing procedures and proficiently uses medical supplies and equipment, while ensuring proper storage and cleaning.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the supervising nurse, such as assisting with patient care in different units and participating in the orientation of new staff members.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a training course for Nursing Assistants.

Experience:

• Knowledge of basic patient care methods, procedures, and techniques.
• Ability to handle a variety of simple tasks that are routine in nature while maintaining orderly workflow.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Must be able to pass and maintain clearance for a Public Trust Position if required.
• Ability to express thoughts logically, in English, both written and verbally.
• Ability to use computers and typical office software such as Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and related database systems.

Licenses/Certifications:

• Current certification in the state of practice is required.
