Trauma Perf Improvement Nurse/Adult/UKHC
The Adult Trauma Performance Improvement Nurse is a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing required. Candidate must show evidence of clinical expertise in the practice of trauma/critical care must be self-directed present information clearly and concisely in both written and verbal form have a demonstrated ability to work positively in collaboration with all healthcare disciplines and departments and possess strong computer skills including knowledge of word processing database management spreadsheet development report writing and statistical and graphical software.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:
Trauma nursing experience (ICU ED Flight) required and experience in quality improvement and research preferred. Evidence of clinical expertise in the practice of trauma/critical care. Must be self-directed present information clearly and concisely in both written and verbal form. Demonstrated ability to work positively in collaboration with all healthcare disciplines and departments. Strong computer skills including knowledge of word processing database management spreadsheet development report writing statistical and graphical software.

Preferred Education/
Experience:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing required. Master of Science in Nursing or other healthcare related Masters degree preferred. Certification in specialty preferred (TNCC). Must hold and maintain a Kentucky Nursing License as a Registered Nurse and be in good standing with the Board of Nursing. Must attend a Trauma Outcomes and Performance Improvement Course (TOPIC) within 2 years of hire.
