Overview
The Ridge Behavioral Health System is a 110-bed hospital located in the heart of the Bluegrass in Lexington, KY. The Ridge provides comprehensive psychiatric and substance use disorder treatment for children, adolescents, and adults. The Ridge offers Inpatient, Partial Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient Programs, Individual Counseling, as well as Medication Management for all ages. We are proud to be a teaching facility and have provided behavioral health services to over 92 Kentucky counties for close to 40 years.
ResponsibilitiesThe Director of Nursing (DON) will be a key member of the hospital's senior leadership team who will coordinate a patient-centric nursing strategy with a focus on patient care. The DON will ensure delivery of high-quality, cost-effective health care in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of Universal Health Services and in compliance with government regulation, licensing and accreditation requirements.
The DON will participate in the hospital’s strategic planning and contribute to the achievement of institutional goals and objectives.

QualificationsJob Requirements:
- Licensure:
Current license to practice professional nursing in KY. - Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a CCNE-accredited nursing program required;
Master of Science in Nursing strongly preferred. - Minimum of 4 years nursing and supervisory/administrative experience.
- Familiarity with The Joint Commission and other regulatory bodies.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of behavioral health nursing clinical practices and management.
- Ability to plan, direct, and monitor others’ activities with leadership abilities that contribute to a positive work environment.
