Scope of PositionThe Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute (OSUCCC‑James) strives to improve health in Ohio and worldwide through innovative research, education, and patient care. The team provides patient care and supportive services focused on positive outcomes, maximizing patient involvement in their care plan, and reducing hospitalization length. The staff nurse plays a critical role in staff engagement, patient experience, quality & safety, and cost‑effective care.
PositionSummary
The Staff Nurse is responsible for managing and providing care to patients and their families, while directing and supervising nursing care provided by other members of the patient‑care team. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, delegating, and evaluating nursing care of patients in alignment with the professional practice model.
Required Qualifications- Degree in Nursing from a CCNE or ACEN accredited nursing program.
- Current Ohio nursing license or interim permit.
- Experience in a relevant care setting preferred.

Hours:
36 per week - Shift: Rotating
- Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check. A drug screen or physical may be required during the post‑offer process.
