Salary Range$28.00–39.10 per hour
Position TypeStaff, Full‑Time, 24 hours per week (paid for 32 hours), 12‑hour day shifts 7AM‑7:30PM every Saturday & Sunday.
Required Education & Licensure- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) –
* Preferred:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) + at least 1 year RN experience* - Active Kentucky Registered Nurse (RN) license, or temporary work permit, provisional license, or active compact state RN license in good standing.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) certification valid for at least 6 months after employment start.
No experience required.
Physical RequirementsAbility to lift, carry, push, and pull 50‑100 pounds daily; 25‑50 pounds frequently; and stand, walk, and sit for long periods. Exposure to communicable diseases, radiation hazards, and injury from intractable patients or sharp instruments.
Job Summary & ResponsibilitiesThe primary responsibilities include providing total, comprehensive, continuous and patient‑centered care: assessing, documenting, planning, implementing, teaching, developing, and evaluating a comprehensive nursing plan of care; delivering direct patient care; ensuring patient satisfaction; training and delegating duties for Nursing Care Technicians; and adhering to University policies and procedures as well as federal, state, and local regulations. The role supports collaborative efforts among nursing staff and physicians to enhance communication and expected patient outcomes.
