**** Registered Nurse-ED
** PRN I Third Shift Emergency Dept. I Lexington, KYAn Emergency department (ED) that provides 24-hour emergency care to patients who need urgent medical attention for severe injuries or illness.
** Description RN-ED:
*** Registered Nurse implements professional nursing practice centered on the patient as a whole person and the creation of a caring environment focused on healing and wellness.
* Assessment of patients’ needs.
* Development of patient care plan/s
* Provision of direct care.
* Management of patient care delivery.
* Demonstrate of leadership skills.
* Support for quality care.
* Customer relations and healing environment.
** Requirements RN-ED:
*** Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky.
* Bachelor's or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university.
* Applicants with an associate degree in nursing and less than 10 years of experience must enroll within 12 months of hire in a bachelor’s degree program and must have achieved the degree within 5 years.
* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. If not already certified, must obtain BLS within 30 days of their hire date.
* ACLS/PALS/NRP and successful completion of dysrhythmia class as required by department of assignment.
