The LPN is a member of the multidisciplinary ambulatory team responsible for patient care, patient satisfaction, and clinical outcomes. The LPN performs duties for which they are trained such as starting IVs, simple wound dressings, and notifying the RN or LIP with any changes or abnormalities in the patient’s condition.

• Provide direct patient care and critical thinking support as trained.
• Initiate intravenous lines and apply simple wound dressings.
• Monitor patient status and promptly communicate changes or concerns to the Registered Nurse or Licensed Independent Practitioner.
• Advocate for patients and families, ensuring respectful and professional communication with staff, physicians, and relatives.
• Work independently when necessary while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
• Maintain open, honest communication with fellow staff and physicians.
• Perform additional duties as required by the healthcare setting.

• Able to lift, carry, push, and pull 50-100 pounds daily and 25-50 pounds frequently.
• Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
• Potential exposure to communicable diseases, radiation hazards, and injury from intractable patients or sharp instruments.

Must be able to work three 12‑hour night shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) totaling 36 hours per week.

Will be required to work some weekends and holidays as needed.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Kentucky Licensure.
