ICU RN – Minimum 2 Years Experience (Registered Nurse, Full‑Time, Nights)
The Staffing Office plays a critical role in ensuring the optimal allocation of nursing and support staff across all departments.
Registered Nurse responsibilities include implementing professional nursing practice centered on the patient as a whole person, creating a caring environment focused on healing and wellness, and honoring patients’ mind, body, and spirit by respecting human dignity and the uniqueness of everyone.
- Coordinate, ensure, and provide direct patient care activities on the unit (>50% of time) through nursing rounds, assessments, and treatments.
- Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities.
- Provide patient and family‑centered education.
- Coordinate care and develop individualized treatment plans as applicable.
- Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky.
- Minimum 2 years of experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited college/university or an Associate’s degree with a minimum of ten (10) years’ experience required.
- In lieu of a bachelor’s degree and less than ten years’ experience, an Associate Degree in Nursing will be acceptable for initial hire with the understanding that the individual must be enrolled within 12 months in a bachelor’s degree program and must achieve the degree within five years.
- Basic Life Support, ACLS/PALS/NRP and successful completion of dysrhythmia class as required by department of assignment.
