Travel Nurse RN Telemetry

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Telemetry RN for a travel assignment in Lexington, Kentucky.

Responsibilities
  • Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data; detects abnormalities.
  • Administers prescribed medications and treatments for cardiac care.
  • Prepares equipment and assists physician during cardiac procedures.
  • Maintains patient comfort and safety; observes and records significant conditions.
  • Responds to life‑saving situations per cardiac emergency protocols.
  • Documents nursing history and physical assessment for assigned telemetry patients.
  • Initiates patient education on cardiac health, risk factors, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary team for comprehensive telemetry care.
  • Maintains confidentiality of patient information.
  • Performs duties within scope of practice and follows hospital safety and infection control protocols.
Required Qualifications
  • One year of recent experience as a Telemetry RN.
  • Current valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
  • Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
  • Current ACLS certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) certification.
  • NIHSS certification.
  • Other certifications and licenses that may be required.
Essential Skills
  • Critical thinking and excellent communication.
  • Proficient reading and comprehension of written and verbal instructions.
  • PC skills and ability to use department equipment.
  • Physical ability to remain stationary and move equipment (50–100 lb).
  • Interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse personnel.
  • Technical/motor skills for fine manipulation and procedure assistance.
  • Mental resilience under pressure and irregular schedules.
  • Visual acuity and effective communication.
