Registered Nurse (RN) – Cath Lab

Job Type: Full Time Days

On Call: every third day through the week (Mon-Thurs) and every third weekend.

A Registered Nurse (RN) in the Cath Lab assess and manage patient care during catheterization procedures, ensuring safe and effective treatment for each patient.

• Assist with cath procedures, medication administration, and monitor patients throughout the cath lab cycle.
• Perform all aspects of patient care in a safety‑focused environment, minimizing the likelihood of medical errors.
• Formulate and revise individualized plans of care based on patient response and evaluate overall plan daily for effectiveness.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the care team, providers, patients, and families in alignment with the chain of command.
• Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and spiritual/psychosocial support.
• Assess learning needs of patients and families, and provide education appropriate to age, culture, and condition.
• Advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of patients, protecting patient rights.

• Current Kentucky or compact state RN license.
• Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school (Bachelor’s preferred).
• Certifications:
  
  Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
