Job Summary
Position:
Registered Nurse – EP Lab, Full Time, First Shift, Diagnostic and Imaging, Lexington, KY. Shift: M–F, 3/12 hour shifts. No call, no weekends, no holidays.
- Assessment of patients’ needs.
- Development of patient care plans.
- Provision of direct care.
- Management of patient care delivery.
- Demonstrate leadership skills.
- Support for quality care.
- Customer relations and healing environment.
- On‑call requirement weekends/holidays picked by rotation.
- Operating Room Nurses provide care and support to patients before, during and after surgery.
- Clinical decision‑making incorporates all four phases of the nursing process, critical thinking and creativity.
- Supervise and delegate to Patient Care Techs, Licensed Practical Nurses, Unit Secretaries, and Students.
- Current RN licensure and work permit in Kentucky.
- Bachelor’s or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university.
- Applicants with an associate degree in nursing and less than 10 years of experience must enroll within 12 months of hire in a bachelor’s degree program and must have achieved the degree within 5 years.
- ACLS/PALS/NRP and successful completion of dysrhythmia class as required by department of assignment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. If not already certified, applicants must obtain BLS within 30 days of their hire date.
- ACLS certification required within 6 months for experienced nurses and 1 year for new graduates.
