Nursing Assistant
2H ICU is a 12-bed cardiovascular and thoracic intensive care unit. Primarily serving post-op Cardiovascular and Thoracic surgeries (CABG, Valve, TAVR, Bronch/Thor, and other thoracic and vascular surgery). This unit also cares for general surgery post-op, critical cardiac Cath lab interventions, sepsis, Cardiogenic shock, and other complex care ICU patients.
Shift: Part-Time, Nights
Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) or other licensed care team member, the Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Tech (PCT/HUC):
- Provides direct patient care and related support by performing selected nursing procedures
- Routine duties to assist medical and nursing personnel in the examination, treatment, and care of patients.
Minimum Education , Experience, Training, and Licensures
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current Kentucky Nurse Aide Certification (SRNA, CNA) required or successful completion of first year of a Nursing program and validation of a clinical rotation. (Must provide a letter from school verifying completion of first year clinicals.)
- Basic Life Support - Applicants will have 30 days from their hired date to provide completion of this certification if they don't have it already.
