American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2 years of ER experience and KY or compact RN licensure.

• Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
• 14-week assignment length
• No Trauma Level I experience necessary though preferred
• Candidates may float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital

• Active RN license (KY State or Compact) required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS
• Preferred certifications: CPI and ENPC
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
• Skills in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and emergency response required
• Experience in care of ventilated patients and continuous IV sedation medications preferred
• Triage skills preferred
• First-time travelers considered only if candidate has Level I ER experience

• Provide emergency care including triage, cardiac monitoring, and emergency response for ER patients
• Local candidates residing within 100 miles of the facility are not accepted
• Returning permanent staff must have been separated from all affiliated facilities for at least 6 months before returning as a traveler
• RTO requests must be disclosed at time of consideration; requests made after offer will not be approved, except in special circumstances
• Candidates with any licensure hits will not be accepted for consideration
• Travel experience preferred but not required
